Heroes of the Storm is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA). The matches are attended by 2 teams, each of which has 5 players. The game is played with two teams of five players each. Although the main goal in Heroes of the Storm is to destroy the enemy base, (also called Core), completing unique objectives along the way, help teams in their ultimate goal of destruction. It should be noted that HOTS is a team game. Accumulating a certain amount of experience will cause the character's level to go up.

Heroes are the unique playable characters in Heroes of the Storm. A player chooses a single Hero, each having different (passive or active) abilities and talents. Heroes can fight other heroes and be slain, respawning in the Hall of Storms after death. They can also collect experience, increasing Heroes' power and granting them access to new talents.The heroes have mana and health. They are restored very slowly. To quickly fill one of these parameters, you can use a fountain or spheres, and also support heroes. All heroes are divided into 5 classes:

Assassin,
Warrior,
Support,
Specialist,
Multiclass.

There are forts, fountains and defensive lines on the bases except the citadel. During the battle, players of both teams are assisted by creeps that are controlled by AI. At the very beginning of the match, the forces of creeps are the same, but they can increase. It depends on the team’s level and number of conquering enemy forts. Some heroes can use their abilities to summon units.

There are mercenary camps in Heroes of the Storm. Mercenary camps can be captured, but for this it is necessary to defeat all of their inhabitants. Thanks to this, the defeated will move to the enemy side. The camp itself will be temporarily unavailable for re-seizure. It should be added that some heroes have special talents, thanks to which they can bribe mercenaries. In general, Heroes of the Storm – this is not a game that you can learn to play one day. You will need not only to master the interface and mechanics, but also to understand all the subtleties.
