Dungeon Run is a single-player game mode added with the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion. This gives the game another layer of complexity. From mighty magic wands to staves dripping with awesome primordial power, razor-sharp blades to the swords of legendary heroes, the catacombs hold special arms for every class.

Upon starting a fresh Dungeon Run, a player is given a deck of 10 cards. These decks are always the same for that class. Each attempt starts you from the beginning, and you need to defeat eight encounters to win. Every encounter begins with just 15 health and ten cards, but both will improve over the course of a run. Due to this variability, the player can make a unique passage.

Every time the player enters the catacombs, his strength and deck will increase. You will have the opportunity to update your deck with rewarding cards at some stages. These cards will help to defeat enemies in more complex battles. After each round, the player is offered three bundles of three cards each. The player can only select one of these three bundles. This allows the player to increase their deck size in tandem with the boss' decks increasing in size. The bundles are often themed or synergize well with each other. Many of these bundles are class specific, feeding into the popular archetypes available to that class up to the release of Kobolds and Catacombs. The cards will be selected randomly from those suitable for your hero's class.

Unsuccessful attempt will lead to death. So its progress and deck will be lost. In this case, you will have to start the battle again.
